From simple cooking app to new digital channel
SimplyTastly presents a new marketing channel for Coca-Cola. Although it is primarily a cooking app, it is also used to run loyalty campaigns, in-store beacon promotions and communicate with customers. Unlike the standard marketing apps, SimplyTastly provides great long term value for the users and it continues to be successful after 5 years on the market. The client came to us with just an idea: A cooking app and a new marketing tool. We did all of the market research, product design, business proposal, user experience, app design, development, testing, and support. All of our services were fully utilized and it resulted in something amazing. We have built an app that reached the top 1 on the charts in multiple countries and shattered our client’s launch expectations by over 14 times. With over a million users and a rating of 4.8, it is the best-rated app Coca-Cola ever had and definitely the most loved by the users as they use it daily.
SimplyTastly, a virtual assistant in the kitchen, is a simple way to cook and shop for groceries. SimplyTastly helps users transform their every day meal preparation into a new experience for their family and friends. Taste the world around through authentic recipes from proven food bloggers. Every time users open SimplyTastly app a new food adventure will wait for them to get started. Users can find recipes, shop for groceries and follow the cooking instructions from their phone. The SimplyTastly app was first launched on the Serbian market, and we were all proud of the results - 70,000 downloads in the first three months, compared to projected 5,000. Today, SimplyTastly has more than 500 000 downloads in Serbia, Poland, Bulgaria and Croatia with almost 40 000 users average per month. People nowadays use Tastly to find exciting recipes for free, easily create shopping lists from recipes, shop using an intuitive shopping list interface, instantly share recipes and shopping lists on Facebook, Twitter, Viber, WhatsApp, SMS and other apps. But also to connect with food bloggers or share their own cooking stories and find the best promotions in their area.

Food bloggers create their own recipes in clear and detailed step-by-step instructions through a friendly wizard that guides them on all steps.
Users can search for new recipes by different filters (difficulty level, cooking method, time needed, type of food, recipe title, ingredients etc.)
Users can also search for other foodies and follow them. They can always go to their profile or see their new recipes on the home page.
Users can add or remove ingredients from the shopping list, share it with others, and adjust the amount of ingredients.
Users can collect points with codes through the SimplyTastly app. All points and reward information, users can easily access through their profile. Some Loyalty campaigns also included a dedicated web page for users to collect points without the app.
Automatic random selection of winners is based on the Loyalty parameters at the end of the loyalty campaign. Users will get notified about their rewards and Coca-Cola team can track everything and alter parameters for each loyalty campaign.
Attract the defined target audience - based on the Bluetooth low energy, this protocol can be installed at certain stores and detect all desired target audience when they approach a certain product category and inform them by sending them the recipe from the app and also promo offers with the ingredients necessary for that meal.
